Things to have:-1) Reading glasses2) Silicone bands or hair elastic bands3) Embroidery thread. Better still, dyneema.4) Your dive mask5) Small precision screwdriver for spectaclesInstructions to make Snoopy’s Eyes:-Get a higher number diopter for your vision, ifyou use a +2.00 for your vision, buy a +2.50instead as you need to account for the refractionover the medium of water outside of your mask.Use the screwdriver & unscrew the temples(arms) on both sides of the glasses.Next, attach & tie a loop of thread/Dyneemaaround the hole of the screw to enable theattachment of the silicone bands (or elasticbands). With the silicone band, do a loop ofLark’s Head knot over the thread. Repeat on theother side of the spectacles. Then carefullydetach the mask strap from the mask & loop thesilicone bands over it and re-attach the maskstrap. Adjust to fifit your face again and check thatthe spectacles can be repositioned and movedup and down your mask. Hopefully this willrenew your interest in scuba diving again if youreyesight had been failing you!Note: Rubber bands deteriorate with ozone &sun exposure so it’s best to obtain siliconebands or use marine bungee cords if possible.For girls, you can use whatever dazzlinghairbands you have!Let us know how you did yours and send us apicture!
